Student calendars are day timers that all students get at the beginning of the year.  They are packed with coupons and university information.  Each section is separated by a glossy laminated cardstock divider, which typically has a full-page advertisement on it.

At Western, the calendar is called the Westernizer.  This was a great promotional tool as the monthly calendar for January and February was available.  Since these are the key months for students to start looking for residence for the following year, having the January/February divider was highly desirable.
