Booth Advertising on Campus
Booth advertising can be very effective if used properly. The key to its success is proper placement, booth visuals and accurate timing. The booth should have flyers for viewing, be staffed with a knowledgeable leasing agent not a student, as well as have an Internet connection and computer so students can look at the web site and even reserve a place if they have a credit card and want to fill out an application online.
Ann Street Case Study
At Western University the student center is called the UCC and this is where a booth was set up during last two weeks of January. Approximately 14,500 people passed through the complex each day so we were able to target a large populace of the university. The booth had a leasing agent present to answer any questions from prospective residents. There was also students hired to hand out flyers at the door as people entered the building. The UCC provided a high-speed Internet connection for the booth and we had a computer there to allow students to explore the web site, the roommate placement profiles and reserve a space within the building. The booth was obtained for 4 days during a 2-week traffic period.
